C-REACTIVE PROTEIN      (CRP)

P.N. 1418-0520

PURPOSE

Immunoturbidimetric reagent for the quantification of CRP concentration with automated chemistry analyzers.

REACTION PRINCIPLE

When the sample is mixed with the appropriate buffer (R1) and antiserum solution (R2), CRP reacts selectively with anti- human CRP leading to formation of insoluble aggregates. The absorbance of these aggregates (340 nm) is proportional to CRP concentration in the sample.

CHARACTERISTICS

Liquid, stable, ready to-use two reagent system, eliminating reagent preparation and reconstitution errors

Accurate results using 5-point calibration

Values traceable to CRM470 IRMM

Shelf life: 12 months @ 2-8oC

On-Board Stability: 60days

Calibration frequency: 7days

Sample: serum

Prozone Tolerance: No hook effect was observed up to 2,000 mg/L

Detection limit: 1.3 mg/L

Quantification limit: 5.1 mg/L

Linearity: 5.1-200 mg/L
